Fallston High Schools Social Studies department offers a variety of courses to meet the needs and interest of our students. These courses aim to provide students with the necessary skills to help them pass the Government HSA and PARCC exams. We offer seven regular and AP courses to prepare students for success in future careers or post high school education. The state of Maryland requires students to acquire a minimum of three credits in Social Studies Area for a Graduation Diploma. These courses offered include: American Government or AP Government in ninth grade, World History or AP World History in tenth grade and United States History or AP United States History, as well as a Dual Enrollment option in conjunction with Harford Community College in eleventh grade.

 

In addition to the state required courses, Fallston High School offers a variety of Social Studies electives for students to consider in their junior and senior years.  This courses include:  AP Economy, AP Human Geography, AP Psychology and Law in America.
