Parents/guardians are encouraged to apply online at www.myschoolapps.com to ensure benefits are processed quickly. Benefits are only valid after Food and Nutrition receives and processes a completed application. As you are communicating with families, please let them know that if they apply and are approved for meal benefits, they will automatically receive the device protection plan this year, which covers a damaged device or charger.
Please discard all remaining applications from previous years. To avoid delays, ensure ALL applications distributed are the “2023-2024” version (top of application should look like picture below). MSDE prohibits processing applications submitted on previous year forms and will be returned to schools if received.
The Department of Food and Nutrition will mail a letter to each student household the week of August 21. Current student meal benefit status, PIN, and account balance will be included in addition to a hardcopy of this year’s meal benefit application.
